Lead Based Paint
EHS - Lead Hazard Awareness Training
The Lead Hazard Awareness course fulfills the requirements for Penn State employees who may work with lead-containing materials, resulting in potential exposure to lead, during their employment, at any level of exposure. In most cases, exposure to lead-containing materials is anticipated to be at low concentrations; however, training is needed to ensure employees understand the health hazards of lead, how to protect themselves from exposure, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements pertinent to lead exposure in the workplace.
Persons that disturb lead paint should refer to the Penn State Lead-Based Paint Program for specific training and other requirements for lead-based paint.
